Beate’s journey out of visual field restriction Beate, aged 64, came to see us because her eyelids had become increasingly heavy over the years. The medical diagnosis: • Severe blepharochalasis: The excess skin on the upper eyelids was so pronounced that it was already covering the eyelashes. • Extremely severe eyebrow ptosis: The eyebrows were positioned extremely low, which further increased the pressure on the eyes. The result: A permanent restriction of the visual field and a constant feeling of heaviness. Surgical treatment under local anaesthesia: • Direct eyebrow lift to relieve pressure on the eye area. • Upper eyelid lift with removal of excess skin and reduction of a protruding nasal fat pad. 3 months post-operative: The scars are already fading very nicely. Above all, however, Beate can once again look out at the world without restriction and with a carefree outlook. Do you have any questions about the combination of a brow lift and upper eyelid lift? Please feel free to post them in the comments. ⚠️ Legal notice: The presentation of post-operative results (3 months after the procedure) is intended solely for medical information regarding the surgical correction of functional tissue changes and congenital or age-related changes in shape (§ 11 HWG). No promise of a cure. The patient has given her express, written consent to publication. #noahklinik #plastic surgery #upper eyelid lift #cosmetic surgery #brow lift
