Treatment of a receding chin

A tight bandage will protect and support the chin after surgery. After about two weeks, most patients are socially fit again - you can resume sports after four weeks.
Complications of a chin correction
In addition to the complications that can occur with any procedure (such as wound healing problems and post-operative bleeding), there is a particular risk of injuring facial nerves or parts of the jaw and teeth during a genioplasty.
