Beate’s journey out of visual field restriction Beate, aged 64, came to see us because her eyelids had become increasingly heavy over the years. The medical diagnosis: • Severe blepharochalasis: The excess skin on the upper eyelids was so pronounced that it was already covering the eyelashes. • Extremely severe eyebrow ptosis: The eyebrows were positioned extremely low, which further increased the pressure on the eyes. The result: A permanent restriction of the visual field and a constant feeling of heaviness. Surgical treatment under local anaesthesia: • Direct eyebrow lift to relieve pressure on the eye area. • Upper eyelid lift with removal of excess skin and reduction of a protruding nasal fat pad. 3 months post-operative: The scars are already fading very nicely. More information about the case 👇 Medical indication: Correction of a tubular breast This before and after comparison does not show classic „cosmetic surgery“, but rather the reconstruction of a congenital malformation. The 29-year-old patient had a pronounced bilateral tubular breast (tubular breast) - with a severe lack of tissue in the lower breast quadrants, shortened distance between the nipple and underbust fold, significant asymmetry and herniation of the breast tissue with enlarged areolas. Surgical strategy: Due to a lack of fat reserves for lipofilling, the correction was performed using implants. To compensate for the asymmetry, the narrowed breast footprint and the tissue deficit, transverse oval implants (Polytech Opticon Plus Mesmo) were inserted submuscularly. In addition, the glandular constriction was released internally, the underbust fold was lowered and a periareolar lift was performed on the right side to reduce the size of the areola.
