Burn surgery

One of the main pillars of plastic surgery is burn surgery. Burns can be caused by hot liquids, flames, caustic and acid burns as well as frostbite.

Burn surgery restores the patient's skin in what is usually a long process from the immediate covering of the wound to the final microsurgical graft. It is the special art of the plastic surgeon not only to keep muscles and nerves functional, but also to leave as few visible scars as possible. One of our tasks is the reconstruction after minor and major burns. At the Noahklinik Kassel, we use the expander technique as required, Tissue and skin grafting, as well as surgical scar treatment.
