PRP TREATMENT BY PROF. NOAH IN KASSEL: VAMPIRE LIFTING
The so-called Vampire lifting is completely wrong to begin with is what it is called. It has nothing to do with vampire but also nothing to do with lifting. Correct it would only be from PRP therapy to speak.
This has established itself in aesthetic medicine as a successful anti-ageing treatment. The method has been known in medicine for many years and is mainly used to treat poorly healing wounds. However, therapy with autologous blood is also increasingly used in dentistry, regenerative medicine and orthopaedics.
In the aesthetic field, frequent applications of PRP treatment are wrinkles and hair loss.

HOW DOES VAMPIRE LIFITING WORK?
PRP is the patient's own body blood - more precisely with Platelet Rich Plasma - PRP for short (abbreviation for platelet-rich plasma).
This is a component of the blood that is responsible for blood clotting. In addition, the plasma contains growth factors that ensure rapid and effective wound healing. If this active ingredient is now used specifically against wrinkles, collagen and elastin are formed in the corresponding area by the PRP - the production of new cells is promoted.
In addition, the skin can now better store moisture again Besides the treatment of wrinkles, autohaemotherapy can be used for the following aesthetic complaints
- Hair loss
- General fine hair
- Improvement of the skin texture
- Softening pigmentation
- Hand rejuvenation
PROCEDURE OF A TREATMENT WITH AUTOLOGOUS BLOOD
At the beginning, a small amount of blood is taken from the patient. This is then specially prepared so that the plasma separates from the remaining blood components. Before the patient's own blood is injected into the skin with a fine needle, an anaesthetic cream can be applied to the face. The treatment is not actually painful, but there may be slight discomfort.
The patient's own blood is then introduced into the skin in a targeted manner and sets the regeneration process in motion there. In the case of hair loss, the platelet-rich plasma is introduced directly into the scalp at the corresponding hair roots. In this way, bald patches - for example as a result of circular hair loss or hereditary hair loss - can be gradually filled in. PRP therapy is therefore also suitable for hair loss.
We also perform hair treatment under local anaesthesia or laughing gas anaesthesia.
PRP - WHEN IS THE EFFECT?
The effect of PRP is usually visible after 1 week - the full result after about 4 weeks. However, it is important that several treatments are needed. Here we offer treatment bundles.
WHAT EFFECT CAN BE ACHIEVED?
The following changes can be observed during a cosmetic PRP treatment:
- Improvement of collagen production
- Higher elasticity of the skin
- Smoother skin
- Wrinkle reduction
- Reduction hair loss
WHEN DOES THE PRP METHOD WORK AND HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT LAST?
The PRP injected into the skin works immediately, but the body needs time to form new collagen fibres, so the final result is only seen after a few weeks. Several treatments are necessary.
In addition, several treatments with the patient's own blood can be useful. This is especially true for a PRP hair root treatment. This is because it can take four to seven sessions at an interval of about four weeks until the hair growth has been stimulated to such an extent that the hair grows fuller again. After this close-meshed autohaemotherapy, a six-monthly booster is usually sufficient to minimise hair loss. The same applies to wrinkle treatment.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS AND SIDE EFFECTS OF AN AUTOLOGOUS BLOOD THERAPY WITH PRP?
Since the blood with the corresponding PRP is taken directly from the body of the respective patient and freshly prepared for each treatment, allergic reactions do not usually occur. However, there may be slight swelling or small bruises on the face after the PRP injection. These usually subside quickly with gentle cooling. In the case of autologous blood therapy for hair loss, the scalp is slightly irritated by the injections. Here, too, gentle cooling provides relief.
ALTERNATIVES TO PRP THERAPY FOR WRINKLES AND HAIR LOSS
Besides an effect against wrinkles or an autohaemotherapy against hair loss there are several other Anti-ageing methods. At our clinic in Kassel, for example, it is possible to inject Botox® into the skin to smooth out facial expression lines. Hyaluronic acid, on the other hand, is a Fillerwhich is also injected into the skin, but rather provides natural volume and thus fills wrinkles.
Another method is the Lipofilling. The body's own fatty tissue is used to fill the volume in the face. Laser therapy can be used to restart hair growth. Using the appropriate wavelength, the hair root can be activated and thus promotes the growth of new hair. We work closely with dermatological practices that offer this treatment method.
If, on the other hand, the hair loss is due to severely tense neck muscles, Botox® can relax the muscles and the hair root is well supplied with blood and nutrients again.
Helps against both wrinkles and little hair Microneedling. In this process, small injuries are inflicted on the skin by means of fine needles. As a result, the body produces collagen - similar to PRP. As a result, the hair becomes fuller, wrinkles are reduced and the overall appearance of the skin is improved.
HOW MUCH DOES PRP THERAPY COST AT THE NOAHKLINIK KASSEL?
A treatment with PRP costs about €400 per session (plus VAT). However, the final price is calculated according to the size of the area to be treated and the number of autologous blood treatments, so we offer multiple treatments. We will be happy to discuss the individual procedure of your PRP treatment in a personal consultation at our clinic in Kassel.
WHEN IS PRP TREATMENT WORTHWHILE?
The effect of PRP treatment on all areas of application cannot be conclusively assessed. Therefore, a general recommendation is difficult. Good results have been observed in clinical practice. Therefore, autologous blood therapy has established itself as a common procedure.
Whether PRP treatment is appropriate in your individual case should be clarified in a medical consultation and examination before treatment.
WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOUR PRP THERAPY?
Basically, you should consider the following points before a PRP therapy:
- Do not smoke in the run-up to the treatment - especially on the day of the treatment
- Do not take any anticoagulant or blood thinning medicines
- No alcohol consumption
- Drink enough fluids
WHAT SHOULD BE OBSERVED AFTER PRP THERAPY?
After a treatment, refrain from sports and all activities that involve increased sweating for 1 to 2 days.
CAN THE TREATMENT ALSO BE COMBINED WITH OTHERS?
In principle, the treatment can also be combined with other methods such as micro-needling, Botox injections or hyaluronic acid treatment. During your preliminary examination, we will clarify whether a combination is appropriate for you.
WHEN SHOULD PRP TREATMENT NOT BE CARRIED OUT?
In general, it is a well-tolerated therapy. However, there are also reasons which against the implementation of the treatment. During your preliminary examination, we will clarify whether it makes sense for you to undergo the treatment. Reasons against the procedure may be pre-existing conditions (e.g. blood clotting disorders, oncological diseases, blood diseases, immune disorders, etc.) or acute inflammations or infectious diseases.
In the case of pronounced sagging of the corresponding skin areas, it should also be checked whether the treatment also promises the desired success - in this case, alternative methods might make more sense.
Unfortunately you can find under Drug allergythen it must be checked whether the substance in question is used as part of the therapy.
Age
The minimum age is 18 - however, there is very rarely a reason to have the treatment before the age of 25.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are also arguments against PRP treatment. There are no official studies on this - however, we advise against the use of cosmetic procedures to minimise risk.
Menstruation
Treatment during menstruation is possible - but not recommended. The amount of platelets varies within the menstrual cycle. In addition, due to the increased sensitivity, the treatment can be perceived as unpleasant.
