FOREHEAD LIFT & BOTOX AGAINST MIGRAINE IN KASSEL PROF. NOAH
Migraines affect more than eight million people in Germany. The range of accompanying symptoms varies, as does the duration. Preventive medication and the avoidance of triggers are often not sufficient to reduce the symptoms of migraine to such an extent that sufferers can go about their daily lives. Depending on where the main trigger for the migraine is located, plastic aesthetic surgery can help in the treatment of migraine.

Endoscopic forehead lift against migraine
The Endoscopic forehead lift is originally a treatment against wrinkles and sunken eyebrows. If the trigger for the complaints can be clearly identified from the neurological side as the compression of two specific forehead nerves by the overlying muscles, a forehead lift can be the right way to relieve the pain. Through a small incision in the hairy area of the temples, the brows are lifted and at the same time the overactive forehead muscles are weakened. In this way, the pain of migraine often diminishes or disappears completely.
Botox® treatment against migraine in Kassel
At the Noah Clinic, in addition to the endoscopic forehead lift, we also offer small Botox® injections against migraine. The neck as well as the scalp, temples and forehead can be treated. The smallest amounts of botulinum toxin interrupt the transmission of stimuli.
Since the pain processing systems of migraine patients often react more quickly and certain muscle groups intensify the pain, targeted relaxation of various muscle strands can actively relieve the discomfort.
What should you keep in mind after migraine treatment?
After an endoscopic forehead lift, patients are usually fit again quickly because the so-called keyhole technique is gentle on the tissue. Swelling after the procedure and after an injection with Botox® can be cooled carefully. Visible scars do not usually remain, especially with injections. In the case of a forehead lift, the scars are well hidden under the main hair - gentle scar care can further improve the result.
It may take a few days for the botulinum toxin to take effect and relieve the pain of a migraine. Since Botox® is broken down by the body after about six months, a new treatment is necessary to maintain the effect. A forehead lift initially causes slight pain due to the operation itself. However, since the muscles have been relaxed by the tightening, the underlying nerve cords are no longer squeezed and the development of a migraine becomes less likely.
Prof. Dr. Noah is happy to provide an individual consultation on the subject of migraine at the Noah Clinic. It is important that you consult a neurologist in advance to clarify how your migraine comes about. In addition, it is usually useful to first try to manage the migraine with relaxation exercises or a mild medication.
