Breast lift using the I-technique
In this operation - also called the Lejour method - the plastic and aesthetic surgeon makes an incision around the nipple and from there vertically downwards to the crease under the breast. Excess skin can then be carefully removed. This procedure is suitable if there is little excess skin. Finally, it may be advisable to reduce the nipple a little to achieve an aesthetic result. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and takes between two and three hours.
T-cut - for a toned bust
With this type of breast lift, the doctor makes the I-technique incision a few centimetres further in the underbust crease. In this way, a lot of sagging skin can also be removed. The nipple is repositioned and the suture is closed. This surgical procedure is also performed under a general anaesthetic.
Autoprosthesis: Breast lift in the inner bra
Our experienced specialist Prof. Dr. Noah works with the so-called autoprosthesis as part of the breast lift. This is a way of giving the breast support from the inside as well and at the same time providing a beautiful, full décolleté.
The prerequisite for this procedure is that there is sufficient breast tissue. During the operation, this tissue is moved back upwards by the plastic surgeon. In this way, an implant can be dispensed with and yet the breast regains more volume in the upper area. Thanks to this procedure, the result of the breast lift often lasts longer, as not only the skin tightened on the outside provides support for the breast, but also the breast and glandular tissue on the inside due to the lifting. Combination with autologous fat
A very elegant method is the combination of lifting with autologous fat. For this, fat is suctioned from problem areas and then used for fine modelling after the lifting.
Aftercare after breast lift
After the breast lift you will stay in the clinic for one to two nights. Already here you will receive a special sports bra or compression bra that protects and supports the breast. This takes the tension off the tissue and the sutures and stimulates the lymphatic activity. Take it easy on yourself even when you are at home. This means no sports, sauna and sunbathing for up to six weeks after the operation. Avoid lifting heavy objects and stretching your arms above your head in the beginning. The methods of aesthetic and plastic surgery are now very gentle, but it is still an operation that is strenuous for the body.
In any case, make sure you attend the check-up appointments with your doctor. This way we can deal with any abnormalities or difficulties in the healing process immediately and take countermeasures. As soon as the small wounds have healed, you can start with scar care. In this way you support the body in healing and the subsequent scars are usually hardly visible.
