The procedure is performed under General anaesthesia<\/strong> and can take up to six hours. During the lower body lift, an incision is made around the body at the level of the bikini area. Following this, the plastic and aesthetic surgeon can remove excess tissue and tighten the underlying muscles. If a thigh lift is also performed, an incision is also necessary in the groin area and the folds of the buttocks or on the inner side of the thighs to achieve an aesthetic whole.
