Liposuction is one of the most frequent procedures in aesthetic surgery. Unfortunately this method is often offered also by doctors who do not dispose over a profound knowledge or weren’t introduced to this method slowly. We undertake Liposuctions everyday and in almost every part of the body. Due to our experience, which we were able to make for many years now, we are not only using this method on the so-called problem zones or parts of the body with high fatty tissue accumulation which seem to be rather resistant to any kind of sportive activity, but also in other reconstructive surgeries. For the Liposuction we are always using the wet technique (tumescence anesthesia) and the gentle Vibration technique. For larger areas or very sensitive parts that need Liposuction we offer the twilight sleep besides a general anesthesia. Very important for this method is a very good preparation, e.g. a sonography of the abdominal wall to exclude the presence of a ventral hernia, and a consequent after-treatment with compression dressings. The surgical intervention is carried out either under general or local anesthesia, depending on the amount of fatty tissue that needs to be removed. A Liposuction on the body as well as on the extremities makes the wearing of compression dressing absolutely necessary. Right after surgery slight pain, bruises and swelling of the affected areas will occur. These effects are completely normal and will usually go away within a few days up to a few weeks. Swellings can take up to 3 months to vanish. In general a final result can actually be seen after 6 to 9 months. The incisions leave tiny little scars which also disappear after a while.
